Last updated: February 18, 2025

At News Zier, we are committed to accurate, fair, and responsible journalism. Our mission is to provide readers with fact-based, impartial, and transparent reporting. This policy outlines our editorial principles, correction procedures, and ethical guidelines to uphold journalistic integrity.

1. Accuracy & Editorial Standards

1.1 Commitment to Accuracy

  • Every article published by News Zier is subject to rigorous fact-checking and editorial review.
  • We rely on verified sources, official records, expert interviews, and independent fact-checking to ensure the accuracy of our content.
  • When citing third-party reports, we provide clear attribution and links to the source.

1.2 Fact-Checking Process

  • All stories undergo pre-publication verification by our Editorial Team.
  • If a story includes developing information, we indicate it as such and update it as more details become available.
  • If an error is identified post-publication, it is corrected promptly and transparently (see Section 2).

1.3 Sources & Attribution

  • News Zier prioritizes original reporting. Our journalists gather firsthand information through direct sources, interviews, and on-the-ground reporting whenever possible.
  • When citing third-party reports, we provide clear attribution and direct links to the original source.
  • Anonymous sources are used only when necessary, and their credibility is verified by at least two independent confirmations.
  • We do not publish unverified rumors, speculative claims, or AI-generated news without human oversight.

2. Corrections & Updates

We acknowledge that mistakes can occur, and we are committed to prompt and transparent corrections.

2.1 Correction Tiers

Minor Edits (Grammar, Spelling, Formatting)

  • Minor changes (e.g., typos, non-substantive updates) are made without a correction notice, as they do not alter the meaning of the article.

  • If an article contains factual inaccuracies, a correction notice is added at the bottom of the article.
  • Example:Correction (Feb 17, 2025): This article originally misstated that [incorrect fact]. It has been updated to reflect the correct information.”

Major Corrections & Retractions

  • If an article is found to be substantially incorrect or misleading, we issue a formal correction or, in extreme cases, a retraction.
